Artistic Milliners commitment to leadership in sustainability is deeply embedded in our values.
Maintaining a balance between economic success, protection of the environment, and social
responsibility has been fundamental to our corporate culture for decades.
From pioneering the building of first LEED factory in Pakistan to standardizing our operations/processes via ISO 14001, Artistic Milliners underscores environmental responsibility as one of the decisive factor of its business model.
We take ownership of our product right from sourcing (BCI, Tencel, Organic cotton) to the final destination of the denim.
Artistic Milliners is the first denim fabric & garment manufactures in Pakistan to embark on closed loop denim project with I:CO.
The closed loop denim provides the basis for the sustainable, economic solution of the future – the “circular economy” and Artistic Milliners is proud to be contributing with approx. 1 million meters per month of closed loop denim manufacturing.
Artistic Milliners contribution in the community development is focused in the areas of health and education.
In Health, we are working in partnership with Indus Hospital Blood Centre for regularly conducting blood donation drives in our factories. In Education, the company sponsors operational cost of an adopted government school of 250 students.
Every quarter, we share with our stockholders a brief of our sustainability initiatives and invite thier feedback on it.
We plan to publish our first sustainability report next year. This is a comprehensive document detailing our impact on the environment and how we are aiming to curb it.
We believe in partnering with the bestest of the best to take our sustainability initiatives forward. In December 2012, Artistic Milliners became the first manufacturer from Pakistan to join the multi-stakeholder group, Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC). Currently, Artistic Milliners is in collaboration with BSR, WWF and UNDP for its various social and environmental programs.
